Best steak that you will find in the Holyland!
There is absolutely no better Fish Fry in Wisconsin. The fish is fresh and the breading is not too thick and the tartar sauce is one of the best. Enjoy!
I have heard about the Pecan Crusted Chicken dish and finally gave it a try my 3rd time here. In a word: Oh My Goodness ! OK, that's three words but one word wasn't enough. Beautifully cooked chicken breast covered in a crunchy coating with slivers of pecans topping it. A great basil pesto angel hair pasta rested under it and the combination was delicious. Light, but filling as I didn't think it would be enough to quell my hunger... but it more than did the trick. Hint: Try the tomato/basil bruschetta as an appetizer. Fresh mozzarella and basil leaves sprinkled among the tomatoes and then topped lightly with a balsamic vinegar drizzle. It is worth the drive from wherever you are. Tim & Shannon, Sheboygan WI ps ... a great ambience and atmosphere in an historic building that you will be wishing the experience could last just a little longer.
Really enjoyed my meal! Pork Schnitzel was tender, juicy and very tasty. The sauce on top was the perfect complement to the pork... not too overpowering, but had great flavor. Spatzel and broccoli went well with the dish... made for an excellent dinner.
SO good. I don't know how they do it, but I have had this entree multiple times and it's a favorite every time. The salmon is cooked perfectly, and the risotto is to die for. Would highly recommend.
This was the first entree that I had over 20 years ago and I still really enjoy it. It just has such an awesome flavor. I have recommended this to many friends. You won't be disappointed. The staff is awesome. Same bartender Steve and our waitress Brenele is a special person. They are so friendly.
Im a huge fan of seafood i try it everywhere i go and these are the best scallops ive ever had hands down!
The chicken enchilada soup is one of my all time favorite soups! It's a must try!
The Wild Mushroom Pasta dish was excellent! I added the sausage which gave it the dish just the right amount of zing! The flavor of the mushrooms was wonderful. The creamy sauce was not too heavy and enhanced the flavor of the mushrooms and sausage. The portion was large and I will be able to enjoy it for lunch for a couple of days. Yay for leftovers! The cheese curds and enchilada soup were also delicious. Service is always impeccable and the old fashioneds are always perfect. Idlewile is a one hour drive each way for us and definately worth it; we will be back many, many times!

We love coming to eat hete. It has been awhile, but would love to come for our 45th wedding anniversary. Can't do a big party.....so we will go to our friends at Idelwile. Love you and your food. Carolyn and Mark Dreier
The best food!! We live about an hour away now and still make the trip. The food is always consistent and delicious! Steak and lobster never disappoint, the best chicken enchilada soup hands down, AMAZING cheesecurds with the yummy dipping sauce, oh and can't forget the delicious carrot cake 🥕 The service is always wonderful and they make you feel at home. Our favorite restaurant!

The BEST I've ever had!!! Steve behind the bar makes a generous cocktail and the food is always spot on. Brenda and staff keep things moving without making the customers feel rushed. Worth the drive...call for the detour during road construction.
Hands down one of the best mussel appetizers I've ever had! Usually these are served in a garlic sauce but here it has a slight hint of heat in a tomato based sauce. It was also served with sausage and toasted points where were perfect for dipping into the sauce.
We love the Idelwile Inn! Fine dining without the stuffy atmosphere. The lobster is outstanding at a reasonable price. I also recommend any of the nightly specials offered. I've tried many and haven't been disappointed. Start the evening out with an old fashion or glass of wine at the bar. My husband particular likes the margarita, which we named the Steve-arita after Steve the bar manager. Save room for an ice cream drink afterward. Totally worth the calories!
Amazing fall off the bone ribs! Sauce is amazing and potatoes were delicious!
One of my favorites Chicken isn't dry the pasta bed is so creamy and delicious All around yummy dish.. 10 out of 10!!
I love many of the dishes on their menu, however, the Pecan Crusted Chicken has to be one of my favorites! The seasoned breading on the chicken and the pesto pasta are both delicious. Don't forget to enjoy the chicken enchilada soup with your meal!
Another wonderful meal! Started with crisp not greasy cheese curds with a raspberry sauce. I chose the salad next with lots of greens and vegetables. The steak was done perfect and very tender. This meal came with a nice baked potato and tasty carrots. It is always worth the 60 mile trip.
My Husband John absolutely loves the pork schnitzel and one of my favorites is the pecan chicken. We can't visit without having the chicken enchilada soup and Brenda's salad.
Started dining at this restaurant back some 28 years ago when they had their fabulous Sunday brunch! Always an outstanding experience! Saw the feature on Wisconsin Foodie and it brought back wonderful memories! No longer frequent the area due to my age but am delighted to see that their success continues!
Loved the Mother's Day brunch! Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. My husband and I will definitely be back when the restaurant opens.
This is, hands down, one of my most favorite meals. You could say, if I was having 'one last meal on this earth', this would be it. The crunchiness of the pecan-coated chicken breast paired with the creamy, robust pesto noodles is a match made in heaven. There is no wonder this is one of their top dishes! If you are heading out to the Holyland Area, drop by St. Cloud for a fine dining experience at Idlewile!
